More from Frank Zanzuccki (updated)May 6th 2008 |

Just got off the phone with Frank Zanzuccki at the New Jersey Racing Commission. He told me that the six suspended Adam/Slender horses are not eligible to participate in New Jersey (and presumably elsewhere). Assuming the tests hold up, they will be ineligible to race for 120 days and will have to then test negative before they can return to the races.
The Commission is in the process of scheduling a hearing for the two men to be held at Freehold Raceway and Zanzuccki said he believes that hearing will hopefully take place within the next two weeks. Good for the Commission. And a good day for harness racing.
UPDATE: Here is the link to Slender's website.

Maybe when a story is reported, someone can spell the accused trainer's name correctly.

See my comment made on the other thread. The NJRC should have pulled their tickets immediately.
