Pacific Playboy's "record" is no more: Harrah's Chester

We've just learned from Mike Tanner at Harrah's Chester that Pacific Playboy's "world-record" mile last Sunday has been "ordered removed" from the track's program and website after the horse reportedly tested positive for EPO.

Furthermore, Tanner reports, the track is holding relevant purse checks pending further test results. The New Jersey Racing Commission yesterday announced the discovery of positive EPO results for six horses trained by Ernest Adam and owned by Stephen Slender. Tanner said the track will not be accepting entries from the two.

Now, if only other tracks were willing and/or able to follow Harrah's Chester's lead.

Chester can'l really eliminate the record, but it's encouraging to know Mr. Tanner is making it disappear from the files controlled by his track. Good job!

Could we hope for the same from the U.S.T.A.?
