Good Saturday morning from SNOWY Edwards, Colorado. I wanted to hike and fly fish today, work up a good appetite, and then sit back this evening and watch the racing from the Big M. Oh well, 1 out of 3 ain't bad.
There was something odd about Standardbred Canada's "Spring Fling" mixed sale when it occurred- several of you privately raised questions about the horses owned and consigned by Perfect World Enterprises, owned by David Brooks, who is in a world of trouble with the law. And now, courtesy of the Harness Edge, we
learn that there indeed
will be an investigation-- or at least an inquiry at an upcoming board meeting-- into some of the more suspicious activities that took place at the sale.
This is a very good thing. Any and all horse sales must be as free as possible from the appearance of any impropriety.
