Yonkers Raceway has announced that its next condition sheet includes a 10-percent, across-the-board purse increase for all overnight events.
Beginning the racing week of Monday, March 25, the overnight purse structure ranges from $10,000 (non-winners of 2 parimutuel races, as well as $12,500 claimers) to $38,500 (Open Handicaps).
"We know that this is the time of year when horsemen have options, and we're committed to having the best racing possible," general manager Bob Galterio said. "We encourage everyone to compare our purses to anyone in the industry." (Yonkers)
