Fortysecondstreet narrowly got up to win the second of four $12,500 divisions of the Super Bowl and ignite a win payoff of $120.40 Wednesday night at the Meadowlands. He edged Jack Halloran Road by a nose in a lifetime best of 1:56.4.

Fortysecondstreet, a son of Lindy Lane, is trained by Neal Ehrhart and driven by Stephen Smith. Peaceful Victory was third, 1 1/2 lengths back.

Fortysecondstreet, owned by Bart H. Cavanagh Sr. of Media, Pa., last visited the winner’s circle on July 10, 2005, capturing a division of the Reynolds Stakes at Pocono Downs. His Super Bowl victory was only the ninth career start and second win for the 4 year old.

Two other divisions of the Super Bowl Trot were won by sons of SJ’s Caviar. George Brennan guided Caviar On The Menu to his third straight victory. The Thomas Lail trainee trotted a lifetime best of 1:56.1.

Euro Hanover, with Cat Manzi driving for trainer Bruce Saunders, posted his third win in his five starts. He hit the wire in 1:55.3.

The final Super Bowl division was the fastest as Anotherbogey B prevailed in 1:55.1 to go two-for-two in Super Bowl action.

The top 10 money-earners in the first two legs of the series return for the $70,000 final on Jan. 24. (Meadowlands press release)
