A $20,000 under saddle race scheduled for Sunday afternoon, Sept. 30, at The Red Mile drew an overflow number of entries. There were 17 horses entered for the race, with 12 drawing starting positions and two also-eligibles. The race is currently scheduled to be contested between the fifth and sixth races as a non-wagering event on the Sunday card. All 12 starters will be on the starting gate. The $20,000 came from the following sponsors: Walnut Hall Ltd.; Peter Gerry; Cane Run Farm; Blue Chip Farm; Diamond Creek Farm; William Weaver; and Alan Leavitt.
