A record 133 horses have been nominated to the 26th edition of the $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup, set for Saturday, June 27, at Mohawk Racetrack. The previous high came in 2005, when 112 three-year-old pacers were named. The 133 total is 41 more than last year when 92 were kept eligible, representing a 31 percent increase. Headlining this year's group of nominees is 2008 Metro Pace and Woodrow Wilson champion Major In Art, Breeders Crown champion Well Said and Governor's Cup winner Nebupanezzar. Also on the list are late bloomers Art Colony and Captain Sir, along with Maritime Sire Stakes champion Deep Finesse who was recently sold to American interests.
