Mohawk Racetrack will play host to its first set of 2-year-old qualifying races this Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m., with a whopping total of 14 races scheduled. Familiar faces like Carl Jamieson, John Kopas and Bob McIntosh will be represented as they send out 34 rookies between them. Jamieson will send out a brigade of 15, while Kopas sends out 10 and McIntosh ships in with nine starters. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served for those in attendance. The 2-year-old qualifiers are scheduled to go over the next four-week period with a fifth to be included if necessary. The races will be held on Saturdays with the exception of Friday, June 26, when they will be hosted in addition to the regular qualifying program. (WEG)
