1:51.4 miles in Snowshoe

Conjugal Visit and Whitesand Invader captured their respective $18,000 divisions of the Snowshoe Series second leg with identical 1:51.4 miles at Woodbine Friday night. The clockings are lifetime marks for both 4-year-old geldings and a second series victory for Conjugal Visit.

Conjugal Visit, a son of Artiscape, took the lead after the :55.4 half, then drew away in the lane from another first-round winner, Bono Bests, for a 3 1/4-length victory. Rick Zeron was in the bike for trainer Mark Harder, who co-owns the horse with Thomas Franchino, George De Filippo and John Fodera.

Whitesand Invader, who made a break in the opening leg of the Snowshoe Series, brushed to the lead after the opening quarter and took it home from there, finishing 1 1/2 lengths in front of Mr. Michael, a first-leg winner. Chris Christoforou drove the son of Dexter Nukes for trainer Jonas Stutzman and owner Brad Gray.
