Glidemaster geared up for the Hambletonian eliminations next week with a lifetime-best 1:53.1 victory in a $15,000 Hambo prep Friday night at the Meadowlands.

Driven by John Campbell for trainer Blair Burgess, Glidemaster drew off in the stretch to win by 5 1/2 lengths. Berto Primo (Ron Pierce) was second with Likeabatoutahell (Brian Sears) third.

The Yankee Glide colt is owned by Robert Burgess, Karin Olsson Burgess, Marsha Cohen and Brittany Farms.

In the other Hambo prep, both of which were non-betting events held prior to the pari-mutuel card, Bacardi Lindy won by a neck in 1:54.2. Daniel Dube drove the SJ’s Photo colt for owner Robert Rosenheim Stables and trainer Jonas Czernyson.
