A total of fifteen 3-year-olds--13 colts and two geldings--were entered for the 56th Yonkers Trot. The first jewel of the Trotting Triple Crown offers a total purse of $653,770. The number of entrants requires a pair of $40,000 elimination races this Saturday night, with the first four finishers in each returning to the $573,770 final a week week from Saturday night (July 10).
The elimination fields, with declared drivers, are as follows:
First elim (8th race)---1-Hard Livin' (Marcus Johansson), 2-Classic Puzzle (Yannick Gingras), 3-On the Tab (Johansson also listed), 4-Celebrity Bluechip (Jason Bartlett), 5-Whata Winner (Jim Doherty). 6-Waldorf Hall (Jeff Gregory), 7-Shaq is Back (Ray Schnittker). Note that Hard Livin' and On the Tab shall race as a pari-mutuel entry.
Second elim (9th race)--1-Carnegie (Stephane Bouchard), 2-Take My Picture (Andy Miller), 3-RC Gallent Image (Pat Berry), 4-Senor Glide (Ron Pierce), 5-Stimulus (Pierce also listed), 6-Big Stick Lindy (Schnittker), 7-Break the Bank K (Trond Smedshammer), 8-Flex The Muscle (David Miller). Note that Senor Glide and Stimulus shall race as a pari-mutuel entry. Note that Big Stick Lindy and Flex The Muscle shall race as a pari-mutuel entry.
The companion event, the $339,050 Hudson Filly Trot, drew 13 soph ladies, with the eight finalists determined after a pair of $20,000 eliminations Saturday night. The final of the Hudson Filly, worth $299,050, also goes a week from Saturday night.

Second elim (6th race)--1-Munis Blue Chip (Gregory), 2-Show Your Lindys (Frode Fladen), 3-Bramalea Hanover (Dave Miller), 4- Religulous ( Campbell), 5-IPO Blue Chip (Brad Hanners), 6-Sweetspellosuccess (Smedshammer), 7-Jetta Lady (Pierce). Note that Munis Blue Chip and Religulous shall race as a pari-mutuel entry.
Both stakes finals shall be open-drawn at a luncheon next Wednesday afternoon (July 7) at the racetrack. (Yonkers Raceway)
