Empire City at Yonkers Raceway will open its second stage of operation with a brand new art deco building Thursday morning, with an additional 1,741 video gaming machines in the new facility.

Empire City first opened its doors on Wednesday, Oct. 11, with 1,870 video gaming machines in its beautifully refurbished clubhouse. Raceway president Timothy J. Rooney will preside when the doors open.

Empire City at Yonkers Raceway is open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily, seven days a week. Empire City at Yonkers Raceway will ultimately house 5,500 video gaming machines when the track expansion is completed in December of this year, and it is anticipated that $400 million annually will go toward education in New York State.
