Market Share, this year's $1.5 million Hambletonian winner, will headline the Canadian Trotting Classic eliminations this Saturday night at Mohawk. The $1-million final, for three-year-old trotters, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Also on the card, A Rocknroll Dance will start from post 12 in the 12-horse Simcoe for 3-year-old pacing colts. The $252,521 Simcoe also includes New Jersey Classic winner Panther Hanover, Pennsylvania Sire Stakes champion Dapper Dude, and the million-dollar winner Michael's Power.

Tim Tetrick, who is the pilot behind Market Share, is looking to capture his third $1-million or higher purse this season as he recently guided Captaintreacherous to victory in the $1-million Metro Pace this past Saturday at Mohawk. But first, Tetrick and the Linda Toscano trainee must contest their $40,000 elimination.

"He's done everything right this season,” said Tetrick, who currently leads all drivers in North America with over $12.3 million in purse earnings and 507 wins to date. "In his last start, he trotted home in :26.4 to win in track record time, (1):52.1 at Vernon (Downs). He's really on his game right now, so if everything stays the same and he stays healthy, I think we're in good shape.”

Market Share, a son of Revenue S, has crafted a handsome 6-3-2 record this season from 13 starts and $1,237,056 in earnings. On top of his Hambletonian triumph, Market Share has also captured the Zweig Memorial in his last start, finished second in the Colonial Trot and third in the Yonkers Trot.

"He's definitely exceeded my expectations. I never thought he'd go out and do what he did,” said the Illinois native. "I give the horse a lot of credit and certainly the connections. They've done a terrific job bringing him along.

"He's such a handy horse,” Tetrick added. "He wears four aluminum shoes, hardly any boots, and no ear plugs. You can put him anywhere you want to on the track. You can leave or sit back. He's just a pleasure to drive.”

The bay colt has earned $1,273,306 in his career for owners William Augustine, TLP Stable and Richard Gutnick.

Market Share will begin from the outside post nine in his elimination.

With two eliminations set for Saturday evening, the top five finishers will advance to the lucrative final. The fields will line up as follows:
