Driver Jim Taggart Jr. picked up his 2,000th career victory when he drove Celestial Hanover to a win in the 12th and final race on Tuesday afternoon at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
Taggart came into the day needing two wins to hit the mark. He won in race seven aboard Park Free, and then sealed the deal with Celestial Hanover in the 12th.
Taggart now has 44 wins in the 2007 meet at Pocono, good for fifth place in the current drivers’ standings. (Pocono Downs)
