Harnesslink.com has reported that Allamerican Theory, the winner of the 2003 Meadowlands Pace, has died after being stricken with colic at Stallion Station’s Victorian base in Australia. The son of Jenna’s Beach Boy-Three Mile Smile (by No Nukes) was 10 years old.
Allamerican Theory won nine of 19 starts as a 3 year old and was voted the 3-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year in Canada. He raced as a 4 and 5 year old but couldn’t muster a win and was retired with career earnings of $831,173.
Bred by Lew Arno and Fred Hertrich III, Allamerican Theory took his career mark of 1:49.3 when he won an elimination for the North America Cup. He finished fourth in the final the next week and then went on to capture the Meadowlands Pace with a two-hole trip. He beat a field that included betting favorite Whatanartist, Armbro Animate, No Pan Intended, North America Cup winner Yankee Cruiser and Boulder Creek.
Allamerican Theory stood one season at stud in the U.S., in Indiana, where he sired 20 foals with 17 starters and 10 in 2:00. He was then exported to Australia for stud duty.
