Hawthorne Racecourse has requested 77 nights of racing in 2007, in applications filed with the Illinois Racing Board on Monday. The request is about double of Hawthorne’s 2006 race schedule. Balmoral Park and Maywood Park both requested year-round racing dates, with the latter racing two nights a week and the former four nights a week.
