The 2007 Prix d'Amerique winner Offshore Dream showed that his form was just where it should be when he won the Prix Marcel Laurent at Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes on Monday evening. This was the fourth start of the fall season for the Pierre Levesque trained and driven 6 year old, who will be trying to win a second Prix d’Amerique in January 2008. Levesque gave Offshore Dream an offensive drive, sending him to the front early, where he answered all challenges. A fast finish from behind was also produced by the Dubois-entry Farifant, who was a distant second, with the Italian entry Ghibellino, a son of Pine Chip, taking third. Pearl Queen finished fifth. Offshore Dream was timed in a mile rate of 1:55.4 over 2,100 meters and earned about $67,500. In other racing news from The daughter of Love You played with her competitors for Jean-Pierre Dubois. The half sister to the international star Mara Bourbon won in a mile rate of 2:01.2 over 2,700 meters.
