25 weather scratches at PcD

The show went on at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs Monday despite a snowstorm that blanketed the area with five to six inches of the white stuff, but Mother Nature took her toll on the card as 25 horses were weather-related scratches.

Two races had four horses scratched and another had five taken out of the race, with all three contests resulting in four-horse fields. However, despite the poor conditions and a "sloppy" track, 11 of the 12 races were contested in 2:00 or better. The slowest race was a trot that went in 2:01.1, while Itsadeadman'shand won the finale in the afternoon's quickest heat of 1:57 flat.
