26 in Provincial Cup elims

Twenty-six 3-year-old colt pacers have been entered for this year's $450,000 est. (C) Provincial Cup at Windsor Raceway, forcing three eliminations to be held Sunday night, May 22. The final is scheduled for Sunday, May 29.



Stonebridge Regal, who has won seven of nine this year, has drawn post two in the first of the three $25,000 contests, slated as the ninth race. Trained and co-owned by Bob McIntosh, Stonebridge Regal comes into the Provincial Cup elims with four straight victories, including a career-best 1:49.3 victory in the Diplomat Series final at Woodbine May 6.



Four Starz Sisco, who has won four of five starts this year, comes into the Provincial Cup off a 1:50.3 victory in the $225,430 Berry's Creek final at the Meadowlands May 7. The Dave Sabatelli trainee has drawn post eight in the second Provincial Cup elim, slated as the 11th race.



Mr. Delite, who has won two of three starts this year, including a career-best 1:51.4 victory in a conditioned event over a "sloppy" track at Woodbine May 14, has drawn post nine in the third elim, carded as the 13th race. McIntosh also trains and co-owns Mr. Delite.
