With 16 two-year-old colt and gelding pacers entered in the Nassagaweya Stakes Saturday at Mohawk, the two divisions were won in speedy 1:52 and 1:52.4 times.  Lis Deo took the first division, going for C$143,800, with Mark MacDonald up.  Posting a :27.3 last quarter, the Erv Miller trainee posted his fourth win in five lifetime starts.

Race favorite Roberts Rage and Jody Jamieson got beat by a quarter length and finished second with Upfront Hannahsboy and Dave Miller getting third.  A colt by The Panderosa, Lis Deo is owned by Classic Photo Stable, MJG Racing Stables Inc and Hill View Enterprises.

Keystone Horatio went three wide around the last turn to win the second division by three and a quarter lengths in 1:52.4.  The John Kopas trainee also posted a :27.3 last quarter to hold off a late charge by eventual second place finisher My Time Hanover and Ron Pierce.  Keystone Nautilus and George Brennan.

With regular driver Randy Waples in the bike, the colt by Rustler Hanover destroyed his previous personal best of 1:55.4.  Owned and bred by George Hempt of Camp Hill, Penn., Keystone Horatio now has three wins in seven lifetime starts.

Somebeachsomewhere won his sixth race in a row, in six lifetime starts, in the C$145,300 third division.  Paul MacDonell has been loyal to the Jean Arsenault trainee and proved they are a great match, winning by two lengths in 1:51.4.

The Mach Three colt lead gate to wire for Schooner Stables and held off the ever-present Deuce Seelster (John Campbell) who sat the pocket trip the entire way.  Santanna Blue Chip and Jody Jamieson finished third.
