A Crown For Lindy won for the second week in a row at Tioga Downs in the second leg of the Williams Auto late-closer on Sunday. The 4-year-old stallion scored in 1:55.1 for his third win in six starts this season.

In other news from Tioga Downs on Sunday afternoon, there were no winners in Tioga’s new $6,000 Guaranteed Sunday Pick 6 as four of six paid $15.40. The Sunday Pick 6 will continue next Sunday when Tioga goes to post at 1:30 pm.

Howard Parker eased A Crown For Lindy, trained by Frank Antonacci, through fractions of :28, :57.4 and 1:26.3. The time of 1:55.1 was also a track record for 4-year-old stallions, and lowered his own track mark set just one week ago.

A Crown For Lindy is a son of Cantab Hall and the stakes-winning Lady Starlet. Owned by Lindy Racing Stable, he was unraced at two and had a nine-race campaign between late May and early September, winning four races. Earlier this year he took a lifetime mark of 1:54.4 at the Meadowlands.

A second split in the Tioga late-closer went to Dreamanotherdream, who took the earlier division of the Williams Auto Trot in 1:56.4.

Tioga will also race next Friday and Saturday night at 6:50 pm. (Tioga Downs)
