2YO colt sparkles in ISS

Allamerican Inca rallied late to a 1:50.4 victory in the first of two $179,200 International Stallion Stakes divisions at The Red Mile Friday afternoon. Shanghai Phil captured the second $179,200 split with a 1:51.2 effort.



Dave Palone was in the bike behind Allamerican inca, who won for the third time in six starts this year. Kublai Pan finished second with Speed Demon third. The time was a career mark for the gelded son of Western Hanover owned by Adam Victor & Son Stable and trained by Noel Daley.



Shanghai Phil was used a couple of times in his split but still held off the competition to post his fifth win of the year and second straight. Mike Lachance drove the son of Blissfull Hall to the victory over Getting Real and Up Front Tornado.



Owned by Chemvest Holdings, Hudson Racing Stable and Dustin Jones Stable, Shanghai Phil is trained by Dustin Jones.
