Cactus Creek, Western Ace, and Total Truth, the top-three finishers in this past Saturday's Coors Delvin Miller Adios at The Meadows, are the morning-line favorites for the third Little Brown Jug Future Wager. The third pool will open at noon (EDT) Thursday, Aug. 17, and will close at 11:30 p.m. (EDT) on Sunday, Aug. 20, and will be available at racetracks and on internet wagering sites throughout North America and Europe.

Total Truth, who finished third in the Adios final, is 7-2 is the morning-line favorite in the upcoming Little Brown Jug Future Wager. Western Ace, second in the Adios final, is the second choice at 4-1, and the Adios winner Cactus Creek, making his first appearance on the “Top-23” list, is at 9-2.

The 61st Little Brown Jug, which will be raced on Sept. 21 at the Delaware County (Ohio) Fair, appears to be the most wide open in recent years. In action this past weekend, Western Ace, Sandro Hanover and True North Hanover won the Adios eliminations, and Cactus Creek, who was making his first start in an open major stakes, won the Adios final in 1:50.2.

The Jug-eligible Mr. Feelgood won a $130,000(C) Ontario Sire Stakes Gold final in 1:51.3 at Windsor Raceway, and the Jug-eligibles Lucky Point Blank and Joe To Go finished one-two in the $71,600 Kentucky Summer Championship final at The Red Mile. The mile was timed in 1:50.3.

The pool consists of 23 separate betting entries, plus the field. Every 3-year-old pacer in North America is included in the field because if a colt wins the Cane Pace, the first leg of the Triple Crown, he can be supplemented into the Little Brown Jug if not already eligible. The field is 6-1 on the morning line.
