April 19, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

The New York State Police recovered three stolen sulkies on Sunday morning, April 18, after an anonymous caller told them that they could be found in the driveway of the home of a horseman. That horseman is not a suspect.

The three sulkies—two owned by the Paul Kelley Racing Stable and another owned by Bob Rosenheim—were not damaged except that the names had been scratched off. The sulkies were Kelley’s white AdvantEdge Evolution and a Jerald Tornado, and Rosenheim’s TelStar Terminator.

“At around 3 a.m. a call was made from a pay phone at a McDonald’s in Saratoga Springs to the State Police,” said Kelley. “It was a woman who called and she told State Police where they could find the bikes.”

Kelley said New York State Police have been in contact with him about progress they have made in the case. “They asked that horsemen keep their eyes and ears open because the investigation is ongoing,” he added.
