The Delaware Harness Racing Commission has reportedly upheld a 3-year suspension and $5,000 fine against trainer-driver Bret Brittingham for a positive EPO test on his horse Judy's Beach Towel last December.



Brittingham reportedly admitted he gave the horse the druge erythropoietin (EPO) in April of 2004, and the horse tested positive eight months later following a win on Dec. 19. Brittingham said he bought the drug through a black-market source he would identify only as "Fish."



Brittingham, 34, has 1,545 career driving wins and $7.6 million in purse earnings. From 1998 through 2000, he won more than $1 million in purses each year. According to USTA stats, he shows 161 training wins since 1992 and $951,000 in purse earnings
