The 3-year-old Revenue colt Hot Shot Blue Chip trotted to a 1:53.3 victory at the Meadowlands Friday night, becoming one of his generation to show speed about six weeks before the Hambletonian. He is Hambletonian eligible.
Trained by Jonas Czernyson and owned by Thomas Dillon, Hot Shot Blue Chip broke his maiden with the win. He made just one start as a 2 year old and had failed to win in four previous starts this year, all at the Meadowlands.
Hot Shot Blue Chip defeated the 4-year-old Napoleon with Explosive Matter, also a Hambo hopeful, finishing third.
