The 3-year-olds Badland’s Legacy, Wellesley Hall, Wiggle Out Of This and Bell Bottom Pans scored their first career wins at the Meadowlands Wednesday night.

Badland’s Legacy, a filly by Badlands Hanover out of the unraced Die Laughing mare Sugarland Express, won by 2 ¾ lengths in 1:53.2 after starting from post nine. The filly was unraced as a 2 year old but had finished second and third in two previous starts at the Meadowlands this year. Brian Sears drove the winner for trainer Ken Rucker and the Panhellenic Stable Corporation of Long Island City, N.Y.

Wellesley Hall, sired by Conway Hall, eked out a neck victory over Armbro Casino in 1:56.4. Trainer Jim Doherty owns the filly in partnership with Tom Dillon and Walter Hight of Maine. She was also unraced as a 2 year old and was making her first start of the 2006 season on Wednesday night.

Joe Hurley’s homebred Wiggle Out Of This, racing on Lasix for the second time, won with a 1:53.2 effort for driver Ron Pierce and trainer Joe Holloway. The Western Hanover colt was also unraced as a 2 year old.

Bell Bottom Pans, a homebred racing for Peter Pan Stables Inc., posted his first career victory with a wire-to-wire win in 1:52.4. Trained by Chris Marino and also racing on Lasix for the second time, Bell Bottom Pans was a comfortable 3 ¼-length victor in his second start of the season. He made six starts as a freshman but failed to win.
