A hefty $40,010 Pick Four carryover tops the Thursday night card at the Meadowlands. Offered nightly on races six through nine, the Pick 4 features a low 15 percent takeout and nightly guaranteed pools ($25,000 Wednesday–Friday and $50,000 Saturday).
The Thursday night Pick Four begins with the second leg of the Night Styles Series, with Teenage Paige the one to beat as she bids for her fourth win in five starts. Post time is 7 p.m. on Thursday.
The last Pick Four carryover at the Meadowlands was $32,000 on Wednesday, Jan. 14, which resulted in a $159,000 pool on the following racing day. The Pick 4 pool has averaged more than $75,000 per night in 2009 with an average payoff of more than $3,900. The highest payoff of the meet was $38,000 on Feb. 21. The record Pick 4 payoff is $53,196.60, set on Jan. 24, 2008. One winner took down the $63,200 pool that night. (Meadowlands)
