A former bookkeeper for Hartman & Tyner Inc., which owns Hazel Park Raceway in suburban Hanan Dallo, 41, was arraigned on the embezzlement charge that alleges she wrote work orders for services that were never done at several metro-Detroit apartment complexes owned by Hartman & Tyner. Dallo was employed as an accounts payable supervisor for the company, and was charged with “signing, initiating or approving phony work orders or altered legitimate purchase orders and invoices for services never performed…,” an Dallo allegedly had an accomplice to whom the checks were made out to, who in turn paid her. According to the assistant prosecuting attorney, bank records show that more than $1 million was transferred from his account to her account. It is believed the accomplice has fled the country. According to the News report, the alleged scheme began in late 2000 and was discovered in August 2007 after Hartman & Tyner received anonymous letters about the possible embezzling of funds. The company owns 33 apartment complexes in Oakland and Wayne counties. Beside
