Six wins on the Wednesday card at Harrah’s Chester brought Tim Tetrick’s newly set record for single-season victories to 1,144, and with one win later at Dover Downs he finished the day at 1,145. Two of those winning drives at Harrah's Chester came in the Delaware County late-closing series, with Ascending (1:53.1) and Tawny Reserve N (1:53) taking their respective divisions.

But it was Molly Darling N ($3), digging in through the final 70 yards, to take the fastest division in Wednesday's leg of the series for distaff pacers.

The New Zealand-bred Christian Cullen mare left from the center of the track, yielding initially to Faithfully (Tony Morgan) in the first turn. Cat Manzi pulled with the 6 year old through the turn, taking the lead just  before a quarter of :27.3. Molly Darling N opened up quickly to a two-length advantage, leading the field through intermediate fractions of :56.4 and 1:24.

After Molly Darling N took a third-quarter split of :27.1, Faithfully began to close up the pocket spot, and Simmichacha (Dave Miller) continued to steadily advance on the outside. Faithfully pulled the pocket at the top of the stretch, but Molly Darling N remained a length and a half clear of her. Meanwhile, Simmichacha gave a strong run at the leader in the open stretch, but could finish no better than second, with Molly Darling N prevailing by half a length in 1:52.3. Faithfully held third.

Three divisions of the Constitution were also contested, with Fox Valley Armor (1:53.4, Daniel Dube), Fox Valley Assault (1:53.3, Morgan), and Equinox Hanover (1:53, Tetrick) victorious in their splits. (with files from Harrah's Chester)
