It's not often you get 8-to-1 odds on a potential repeat winner, but Put Them On Hold ($18) was just that Wednesday at Harrington Raceway with a 1:56.1 triumph in the $20,000 Open Trot.

Owned and trained by Toby Lynch Jr., the 7-year-old Call Toll Free gelding and driver Roger Plante Jr. took full advantage of miscues by favorites Hunt M Down and Wildfire Julie, who both broke stride, and scored a wire-to-wire triumph. The win was his second straight in the top overnight weekly feature for trotters and pushed his bankroll to nearly $100,000 in seasonal earnings. Wildfire Julie was second with Mighty Moses third.

In the $15,400 Junior Open Trot, Horseman's Financial Agency and Premier Racing Stable's Rusty's Biggie ($19.60) was victorious in 1:59 for trainer Tom Kirby. Driver Eddie Dennis piloted the 4-year-old CR Commando gelding to his third win of the meet. (Harrington)
