Eight 3-year-olds--seven colts and a gelding---have been entered for Yonkers Raceway's Messenger Stakes, final jewel of the Pacing Triple Crown. No eliminations are therefore necessary and so the 57th edition of the Messenger, worth $415,820, goes as a one-dash-for-the-cash event a week from Saturday night, Nov. 10.

The entrants, alphabetically with declared drivers, are...A Rocknroll Dance (Dave Miller), Bolt the Duer (Mark MacDonald), Domethatagain (Brent Holland), Hillbilly Hanover (Morrill Jr. also listed), Lawgiver Hanover (Eric Goodell), Major Bombay (Andy Miller), Pet Rock (George Brennan) and Steelhead Hanover (Driver TBA). Hillbilly Hanover is the lone gelding.

The stakes companion event, the $229,440 Lady Maud Pace for 3-year-old fillies, attracted seven entrants, making it, too, a Nov. 10 one-dash-for-the-coin event. In alphabetical order with declared drivers, are…Bettor B Lucky (Morrill Jr.), Economy Terror (Ron Pierce), Handsoffmycookie (Tim Tetrick), Major Look (Andy Miller), Ramalama (Morrill Jr. also listed), Rockaround Sue (Andy Miller also listed) and Romantic Moment (Yannick Gingras).

Post positions for both races shall be drawn next Tuesday (Nov. 6) as part of the regular Saturday draw. (Yonkers)
