George Teague told harnessracing.com he plans on sending both Western Ace and Total Truth to the Meadowlands Pace elims, scheduled for July 8.
Total Truth is coming off wins in the North America Cup and Hoosier Cup. Western Ace, who finished fifth in the North America Cup, is in-to-go Saturday in the $71,700 Jersey Cup at the Meadowlands.
“He’s sound, but he’s not the luckiest of horses, Teague said of Western Ace. “He didn’t have the best trip in the North America Cup. He as good as anybody as far as 3 year olds go, and that includes Total Truth.”
“We’re going to try to hit as much as we can,” Teague added.
Below is a list of Meadowlands Pace eligibles that are also eligible to the Little Brown Jug. Jugbarn.com players have until midnight on July 3 to set their stables.
