Adios final set for July 31 in 2010

The Meadows Racetrack & Casino will race 208 programs in 2010, highlighted by the 44th edition of the Delvin Miller Adios, with eliminations Saturday, July 24, and the final Saturday, July 31. 

 

The schedule features five live cards weekly in the months of February-March and May-August, with the exception of a two-week hiatus following the Adios. The track will offer four live programs each week for the balance of the year, with added cards on select dates. Live racing for the year kicks off Monday, Jan. 11, following a holiday break. Below is a synopsis of the schedule:

 

Post time generally will be 12:55 pm, a return to daylight racing, which proved popular with patrons in the spring and summer of 2009.

 

Friday post time during the fall and winter months will be 3:55 pm.

 

Wednesday post times from April through Sept. 1 will be 6:55 pm.

 

Saturday racing, absent from the schedule for the past few years, returns from June 12 through Sept. 4, with first post at 12:55 pm.

 

The eliminations and final of the Adios again will be a week apart, a format introduced in 2008 that has helped The Meadows attract top, competitive fields for its signature event. (The Meadows)
