A Dover win with a little extra sauce

Sauce Two K became the first three-time winning trotter at Dover Downs this meet as Corey Callahan piloted the Valley Victory-Colors Of The Wind gelding to his 12th win of the year Wednesday in the $26,000 Open Handicap. Richard Johnson who conditions the 4 year old, now a winner of $173,391 this season.
 
Joey The Jet JT (Tony Morgan) battled the winner the length of the stretch and briefly led before Sauce Two K surged to the wire in 1:54.3, equaling his lifetime record. Rose Run Flash (Mike Cole) had a good trip and finished third.

In the first of two $11,000 filly and mare paces, Callahan also drove Riddler On Theroof to his first local victory, a 1:54.1 decision for his dad, owner-trainer Nick Callahan. Hawthorne Hudson (Morgan) was second ending a two-race win skein. Un Betting On You (Brandon Givens) was the show horse.

Rodney Mitchell's Haunted won the other $11,000 distaff pace. Kevin Sizer guided the 3-year-old Bettor's Delight- Spirit Of Ivy black filly. Artexpress (Ross Wolfenden) took second in front of PW Michelle (George Dennis).

Callahan began his big night driving both ends of a Letmetellusumthin and Devastating A daily double. Morgan had a three-bagger and Wolfenden a driving double. (Dover Downs)
