Adrian Chip, a hopeful for this year's Hambletonian, won his first start of the season Thursday evening at the Berjsaker track in Robert Bergh, who trains Adrian Chip, also drove him to the victory. Per Henriksen trained the colt last year during his U.S. campaign, but then sold the horse to a group now known as Stall 3 Pucks (the 3 Pucks Stable). Adrian Chip put together a freshman record of 9-5-31, earned $162,034 and took a mark of 1:55.3f when he won a Matron elim at Dover Downs. Bergh has said he plans to race Adrian Chip over distances longer than one mile for the first few starts so the colt will not have to race at fast speeds.
