AdvantEdge sulkies, made by Evolution Racing, will be back on the track at the Meadowlands, starting tonight.
The sulkies, associated with driver-trainer Tom Harmer, were sidelined Jan. 15 in response to the collapse of a bike driven by Cat Manzi, which took place a few minutes before the Meadowlands' sixth race Friday night, Jan. 14.
"Evolution Racing was proactive in submitting pertinent information for us to review, regarding the race bikes, which allowed us to make a decision," said Meadowlands vice president and general manager Chris McErlean. "We do expect to work with Freehold and the SBOA (Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association) to approach the New Jersey Racing Commission to review the current policies regarding bike inspections."
