A Harrington eight-bagger

Driver Tony Morgan won eight races at Harrington Raceway Wednesday, equaling the driving record at the First State's half-mile racetrack.

After winning the first and fifth races with Ge's Jordan and Harry Hornet, Morgan won four consecutive races (8-11). He then won the 13th with Red Oak's Yankee and the 14th with Sempre Veloce N. He currently has 37 wins at the meet in just eight days of racing.

Morgan equaled the driving milestone for most wins in a night, set by Brad Hanners in 2004. He also currently leads the North America dash list with 360 victories, nearly 100 more than runner-up Cat Manzi. Last year Manzi was the leading dash driver with Morgan the runner-up. Morgan is also currently the leading money-winning driver on the continent, a rare time when a Meadowlands-based driver doesn’t sit atop the list.
