Allamerican Improv lowers Tioga Downs track record

Allamerican Improv and Jim Morrill Jr. lowered the stakes record and track record for 2-year old colt pacers in the Tompkins-Geers at Tioga Downs on Sunday afternoon. The mile of 1:53.3 also established a new lifetime mark for the 2-year old son of Artiscape out of the Jate Lobell mare I’m A Jate. Allamerican Improv is trained by Jim Graham for Ronald Viola, David Venniro, and James Graham of New York. The trio of owners seem to have stolen the colt out of the sale with a price tag of $8,500. Allamerican Improv has already banked over $67,000 in only four starts in 2008.

Panmunjom remained undefeated in his third career start with usual pilot Dave Palone in the sulky. Palone used an off the pace tactic to overtake the field in the stretch with the homebred son of The Panderosa out of the Artsplace mare Pandalay Bay. Erv Miller trains Panmunjom for the Peter Pan Stables Inc. of Pepper Pike, Ohio.

Jagger Blue Chip took down the lone $70,014 division for 3-year old colt and gelding pacers with Ray Schnittker at the lines. Schnittker sent the 3-year old son of Bettor’s Delight to the front and never looked back to score in a lifetime mark of 1:53.1.

Diva Delight continued her winning ways in the $38,757 division for 3-year old pacing fillies. Jimmy Marohn Jr. used the front end to open up on the field and score the victory in a lifetime equaling 1:53.4.

Dave Palone posted a driving double on the afternoon’s ten race card. (Tioga Downs)
