Amour Angus, the dam of Andover Hall, Angus Hall, Conway Hall, and Emilie Cas El, among others, was euthanized on Sunday at Walnut Hall Ltd. in Lexington after fracturing a hind leg.

The announcement of her death was made by Alan J. Leavitt, president and general manager of Walnut Hall Ltd., which is owned by his wife, Meg Jewett-Leavitt.

Leavitt said that Amour Angus will be laid to rest in the Walnut Hall cemetery on the farm.

Amour Angus, a 22-year-old daughter of the Florida Pro stallion Magna Force, took a mark of 2:03.1f as a 3 year old and earned $21,355 in purses before she began to make her mark on the breed as a broodmare. She produced 13 foals, five of them fillies.

Bred by Fermes Angus Farms in Quebec, Walnut Hall Ltd. acquired Amour Angus in 1995.
