An Andover Hall winner

June 01, 2006 Send To A Friend  | Print View

World Trotting Derby winner Andover Hall had his first winner as a sire Wednesday as Adrian Chip, out of the stakes-placed mare My Favorite Chip, won a qualifier at Rosecroft in 2:05.1. With trainer Todd Schadel (half of the team behind Hambletonian winner Vivid Photo) in the sulky, Adrian Chip led at every call, drawing clear to win by 3 ˝ lengths.

Adrian Chip was bred by Junior Jutzy of Ohio, who later sold the young colt from the first crop of Andover Hall to German interests. Adrian Chip is presently owned by Silvia Gerbaulet of Recklinghausen, Germany. The dam, My Favorite Chip had a time trial mark of 2:00.2 set at The Red Mile. At two she finished fourth in the Matron final and the Kentucky Sire Stakes final.
