Robert Aerenson, Joe Cicatello and Ctc Stable’s Alpine Gold N ($7.20, Tony Morgan) became the first repeat winner in Tuesday’s Mares Open with a 1:54.1 triumph at Harrington Raceway.
The Mike Hall trainee assumed command approaching the quarter-mile mark and never looked back in her half-length win over Ireneonthemove and Miami Diva N.
It was the fourth win of the year for "Gold," and second consecutive for the 6-year-old Life Sign mare whose now banked nearly $80,000 in 2010. Morgan and Ross Wolfenden each had three driving winners on the program. (Harrington)
