Share The Delight set another track record Thursday, capturing a $49,069 division of the New York Sire Stakes for 2-year-old colt and gelding pacers at Monticello Raceway in 1:55.3. This track mark comes after a 1:54 track record in the New York State Fair Stakes at Tioga Downs and a 1:55.1 record performance in Sire Stakes at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway. In Thursday’s race Jim Morrill Jr. moved the son of Bettor’s Delight in the lead just past the :58 half and held a steady 2 1/2-length lead to the wire over Cry For Cash. It was the fourth victory of the year in as many starts and second Sire Stakes triumph for the Linda Toscano-trained colt, who is owned by Four Horsemen Stable (The Bays Stable LLC, Andrew Cohen, Joseph Faber, Harvey Nagler and Lorne Polger) and Algonquin Farms (Edward Cohen). There were five other divisions of the Sire Stakes. They were captured by Riggins (Art Major) in 1:56.2, Alpine Jubilee (Sealed N Delivered) in 1:57.4, Bullville Powerful (Bettor’s Delight) in 1:57, Hands To Yourself (Sealed N Delivered) in 1:57.1 and Jagger Blue Chip (Bettor’s Delight) in 1:58.
