Gelika Ann was the clear star of the night at Northfield Park on Tuesday as she completed a sweep of the four preliminary legs of the November to Remember Series for pacing fillies and mares with an impressive 1:56.4 win. The sophomore Memphis Flash filly, driven by Elliott Deaton, again overcame post seven, this time making a three-wide move up the backstretch to join early leader Standing Pretty. The two battled as a team for the final quarter mile before Gelika Ann prevailed. No More Tears was third. Sue Stockwell trains the prohibitive favorite in next week's final for Fred Polk. In the final $3,000 trotting leg for fillies and mares, Victor Lengacher's The Master's Lady made it two in a row. A late comer to the series (she did not compete in the first two legs), she established herself as the likely favorite in next week's final, as trainer-driver Andy Shetler powered her four wide at three-quarters and drew off for the 2:02.1 win over Angel Annie, who overcame the ten hole, and Carry The Light.
