Apple Krisp sold

The 3-year-old filly pacer Apple Krisp has been sold on the eve of the Breeders Crown. The Horseman has learned New York Jets star receiver Wayne Chrebet's Double Down Stable has purchased the daughter of Life Sign from William Peshina's Royal Wire Products for an undisclosed sum.



Apple Krisp has won four of 20 starts this year and more than $160,000. She took her mark of 1:49.4 while winning a New Jersey Sire Stakes contest at the Meadowlands June 18. Don Swick has been training but the filly will now move to Kevin McDermott's barn.



Apple Krisp is one of eight sophomore pacing fillies entered in this year's Breeders Crown, slated for Saturday, Oct. 23, at Woodbine Racetrack. Here is the list of entries (in alphabetical order): Apple Krisp, Armbro Bombay, Glowing Report, Invitro, L Dee's Val, Pantidepressant, Rainbow Blue and Ted's Girl.
