Fresh off a second place effort in the Milton Stakes final on September 25, A Ps Money Maker wore down pace-setter Arts Diva down the stretch to capture the $38,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace setting a new track record of 1:49.1 in the process. Arts Diva (Paul MacDonell) blasted to the lead off the gate and took her four rivals past the opening panel in :26.2 with Meredith Maguire N (Luc Ouellette) getting away in second with A Ps Money Maker (Rick Zeron) positioned third. Arts Diva continued to set the pace through middle-half speed of :54.1 and 1:21.4. Around the final turn, Zeron pulled on the right line and guided A Ps Money Maker to the outside and the two hooked up at the top of the stretch. Down the lane, A Ps Money Maker wore down pace-setter Arts Diva and used a :27 second final quarter to capture her 18- career victory. Arts Diva stayed for second with Blissful Smile (Moiseyev) third. Sent off as the 4-5 favourite, A Ps Money Maker is trained by Travis Umphrey for owners Terry Hamilton, Joe Tinelli and Shir Win Racing Stable.
