New baby for trotting

Nancy Takter, the daughter of horseman Jimmy Takter and his wife Christina, and the wife of driver Marcus Johansson, gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, Sunday night at a New Jersey hospital. Christina Takter reported that the baby girl, her first grandchild, weighed 7 lb., 5 oz. at birth

Malabar Man to Italy?

According to reports in Europe, the Italian Breeders Association is close to a deal to purchase the trotting stallion Malabar Man. Malabar Man currently stands at stud at Winbak Farm in New York for owner Mal Burroughs, who also bred the horse and drove him to a victory in the 1997 Hambletonian.
