Ky Senate passes tax plan March 01, 2005
The Kentucky State Senate passed Gov. Ernie Fletcher's tax modernization bill by a vote of 37-0 late Monday night. The bill includes two horse industry provisions, one of which would direct tax money to breed incentive programs.

Announcer Miller dies March 01, 2005
George Miller, the announcer at Saratoga Harness Raceway for 24 years from 1958 through 1981, died Friday, Feb. 25, at the age of 89.
