Lights go out at Rosecroft

Rosecroft Raceway was forced to cancel its final four races on Tuesday night, including it's $11,300 Preferred Pace, due to the outage of a portion of racetrack lighting. Violent electrical storms have peppered the Washington D.C. area over the past few days, and have caused numerous power outages.

Tioga Downs finally opened its 750-machine video gaming parlor Tuesday, July 4, and an overflow crowd filled the site to capacity throughout the day. Nearly 400 people were reportedly in line when the racino opened at 10 a.m., an opening delayed three times the past week due to flooding in the area.
