Tax break proposed in KY

According to reports, legislation that would give racetracks a tax break on special racing days, effective July 1, has been introduced in the Kentucky legislature. The bill would give tracks a tax break similar to the one Churchill Downs receives when it hosts the Breeders’ Cup World Championship

The New Jersey Racing Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, which included a discussion of the suspensions of Eric and Seldon Ledford and Ryan and Ardena Dailey, has been postponed due to the major snowstorm that hit the East Coast. The meeting has not yet been rescheduled.
